Leadership and Management Qualifications

Every organisation needs effective leaders and managers to be successful. Alternative Partnership consultants are fully qualified to deliver ILM accredited Leadership and Management training programmes. Not only will you learn essential skills, you’ll gain a formal, nationally recognised qualification.

Level 3 (A-Level Equivalent)

This level is suitable for those in the early stages of their management career such as first-line managers, supervisors and team leaders.

You will learn the value of coaching and mentoring within a business as well as learning different coaching and mentoring models. You will feel more confident in coaching and mentoring your team which will help you become a more effective manager.

Level 4 (Foundation Degree Equivalent)

This higher level is suited to middle managers, new department heads and regional leaders. There is a choice of units so the course can be customised to fill the gaps in your knowledge or that of the business.

You will consolidate your understanding of your role, build knowledge of specialist business areas at an operational level and develop the capabilities needed to be an effective leader.

Level 5 (Degree Equivalent)

This higher level suits project managers, practising department heads and those preparing for senior management responsibilities. This course can be customised to your departmental needs.

You will develop a more strategic thinking towards management and leadership as well as build on your core skills. You will become confident in providing direction, inspiring teams and facilitating innovation and change.

Level 7 (Masters Equivalent)

The highest level is only recommended for those who have already completed level 5 or are in a senior management, director or executive level position. This is equivalent to a Masters level degree and covers strategic leadership and executive management.

You will learn how to develop, implement and evaluate high-level business cases and make evidence based decisions. You will be able to make the best use of resources, optimise performance and lead change.

How it works

These are vocational qualifications so the learning is made up of practical experience and assignments although learners will have to attend some training days. If you have a group of employees that you want to train then we can come to your business and conduct the training days. For individuals, we conduct the training at an external venue.

Coaching and Mentoring Qualifications

Coaching and mentoring can improve interpersonal skills, communication and conflict resolution leading to more efficient and motivated workforces. Alternative Partnership consultants are fully qualified to deliver ILM accredited Coaching and Mentoring training programmes. Not only do learners improve their skills and knowledge, they gain a nationally recognised, formal qualification.

Level 3 (A-Level Equivalent)

This level is ideally suited to first-line managers, departmental managers, team leaders and those in similar roles. If you or your employee has management responsibilities but no formal training then we recommend this level.

You will gain a range of management skills and the confidence to manage relationships and motivate and engage your team.

Level 5 (Degree Equivalent)

This higher level is ideally suited to those who carry out significant coaching and mentoring in their day-to-day roles or profession, or those moving into a developmental role.

You will develop the skills, knowledge and ethical understanding needed to provide effective support in the development of others. You will also be able to plan, deliver and review coaching and mentoring within your organisation and assess your own skills as a coach.

 Level 7 (Masters Equivalent)

The highest level qualification is suited to senior managers and HR managers who want to develop their expertise or professional coaches and mentors who want accreditation.

You will learn how to develop and implement coaching and mentoring processes at strategic and executive level in complex working environments. You will be able to analyse and evaluate different coaching models and critically review and assess your own skills as a coach.
